

You’ll be climbing hills, crawling under barbed wire, jumping fire and running in mud and water. It’s not timed, but you must finish as a team. Teams are assigned and expected to complete a variety of challenges. This is a unique event that takes place on and off the Spartan Race Course. The Hurricane Heat starts Sunday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. Plan to arrive 90 minutes before your scheduled start time to park, pick up your packet and drop your belongings at the bag check. Bring your ID, waiver and registration barcode. Racers who register as a team will be assigned the same start time. Your group and personal start time will be posted a few days before the event under the Race Day tab. The afternoon Open Group waves begin at 12:15 pm. The Age Group racers are released in waves every fifteen minutes starting at 8:00 a.m. It’s time to push your limits and get out of your comfort zone.Įlite Men start at 7:30 a.m. For Elite participants, the pace to beat is 80 minutes.Īge Group racers and the Open category give everyone from weekend warriors and teams to first-time racers the same opportunities as the Elite competitors. With 8 to 10 miles of strenuous terrain and 24–29 demanding obstacles, you get to prove your grit and determination. This mid-distance race is an excellent athletic challenge for seasoned competitors ready to push their limits and expand their boundaries.
